Stockpiling

After I was asked a couple of times if I was going to be able to have enough food for my granddaughter to go backpacking with us this July, I realized that I actually have enough to feed all four of us for the week.  I had been collecting some foods throughout the year as I saw items that would pack well.  Because of the question, I decided to inventory the foods I had.  I learned that I still need to figure out lunch and how I got to the point that I am with my weight.   Food has a big importance in my activities, but I never realized how much until I gathered all five bags of backpacking foods I had collected.

Below is the inventory I created; you’ll see what I mean:

Breakfast

Stroop waffles, 16 honey sticks, 8 oatmeal packets, granola, egg and ham, pop tarts

Lunch

Laughing cow cheese, epic chicken, Wisconsin cheddar, olives, 3 summer sausages, salami, 2 pepperoni sticks, bbq beef stick, bbq pork bar, 2 chocolate hazelnut butter, 2 pb&j sandwich bars, pb cracker sandwiches, dukes sausages, 4 tuna packets, flour tortillas

Dinner

Vegetable noodles, beefy noodles, 6 vegetable yellow curry, 3 cup of soup, 2 fiesta rice with corn and chicken, 2 cranberry chicken rice, carrot sweet potato ginger soup, macaroni and cheese, beef stew

Snacks

2 fruit bars, black licorice, 2 fruit and nut mix, coconut chips, fruit and nut bar, think thin bar, fruit source bar, sweet chili jerky, 2 cranberry almond cashews, seaweed, 4 almond butter pretzels, 2 Tahoe trail bars, 2 pb cups, brookside bar, sunrype energy bar, luna bar, zone bar, mini apricots, grape nuts cookie, 2 nourish snacks, nilla wafer almond snacks, Korean jerky, caramel corn, 5 chia squeeze, 3 open nature bars, 3 knoppers, orchard valley snacks, chocolate coconut, fiber one bar

Dried fruit

Banana mango leather, strawberries, pineapple, coconut mango leather, watermelon, cherries, honeydew, kiwi, pear, blueberries, mango, kiwi banana leather, bananas, peaches, oranges, cantaloupe cranberry leather, peaches, apple

Dried vegetables

Zucchini, potatoes, carrots, beets, kale

Drinks

Hot cocoa, electrolytes, chocolate almond milk

Dessert

Freeze dried ice cream, brownies, key lime pie bars, smash mallows, pb&j bars

So the problem now is to decide what to take and how to pack what we actually take.  And of course, I need to take a deeper look into my sick food addled mind.
